    Life Engagement "Activities" Aide
    POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the ongoing assessment of residents; planning and conducting regularly scheduled activities and special programs and services related to the needs of the residents.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
    • Participate in the initial assessment of new residents as assigned; participate in quarterly review of all residents prior to meetings.
    • Participate in the development and review of individual resident care plans and in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team, identify, develop, and implement appropriate Life Engagement therapy services.
    • Participate in the planning and conduct of regularly scheduled activities and special events and outings, both on-campus and off-campus, in collaboration with other facility departments/ disciplines.
    • Participate in the orientation, coordination of duties and supervision of volunteers as assigned.
    • Maintain accurate attendance records for all assigned activities.
    • Participate in the overall operation of the Life Engagement Department. In collaboration with members of the Interdisciplinary Unit Management Team, ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the assigned resident care unit.
    • Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
    • Requires regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Performs other assigned duties.

    Supervisory Responsibility:
    This position does not oversee other positions.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Education and Experience

    • Current Certified Nurse’s Aide License in good standing or to acquire license within 6 months of hire.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Valid Driver’s license.
    Preferred Education and Experience
    • Must possess a sense of responsibility, dependability, and honesty.
    Additional Eligibility Qualifications
    • Display an attitude indicating a desire to be part of a team and demonstrate interest in caring for the elderly
