Rex is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience in stand-alone community hospitals, critical access hospitals, and a large health system. A native of Kansas, Rex and his wife Kay have three children, two of whom are military officers, and their youngest is studying law. Rex holds a Master of Business Administration, Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science, Political Science, both from Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. He is a Certified Professional Manager, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and has served on and led various rural health related boards.
