Stephen Crowley, M.D., Cardiologist
Dr. Stephen Crowley, combines a dynamic approach and strong academic preparation to offer patient care at the highest level. Since coming to Denver in 1987 for his Cardiology fellowship, he has practiced at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Rose Medical Center, Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center and The Medical Center of Aurora. Dr. Crowley received the Lamb Foundation Prize for Excellence in Clinical Medicine at Albany Medical College and the Al Masters Award for Superior Academic and Athletic Achievement at Stanford University.
Dr. Crowley has been providing cardiology care for the patients in Baca County for over 18 years via the Health One outreach program.

Charles Frankum, M.D. Surgeon
Dr. Charles Frankum is a surgeon in Denver, Colorado and is affiliated with Southeast Colorado Hospital District. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and has had a practice for more than 20 years. A Colon & Rectal Surgeon, proficient in advanced laparoscopic, does general surgery, performs upper & lower scopes.

Dr. George C Gustafson, M.D. Cardiovascular Disease (cardiology) Specialist Graduated with honors from University Of Health Sciences / Chicago Medical School in 1977. Having more than 41 years of diverse experiences, especially in CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE (CARDIOLOGY), Dr. George C Gustafson affiliates with many hospitals including Southeast Colorado Hospital, and cooperates with other doctors and specialists in many medical groups including Southeast Colorado Hospital District.

Dr. Timothy Lehman, MD Orthopedic Surgeon
Timothy J. Lehman, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine, as well as general orthopedics. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Lehman completed his orthopedic training at the University of Missouri at Kansas City Medical Center. He also completed sports medicine fellowships in Australia at the Perth Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre and Mercy Private Hospital in Melbourne. Dr. Lehman has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years and has been in private practice in Colorado since 1999. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, as well as orthopedic trauma care. Dr. Lehman also performs knee replacements and shoulder replacements. When caring for his patients, Dr. Lehman tries to put himself in their shoes, making sure they have a good understanding of their condition or injury, as well as their treatment options. Outside of work, Dr. Lehman enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, skiing, mountain biking, playing golf and most anything else outdoors.

The dental office boasts new, state-of-the-art equipment and is located in the Springfield Medical Clinic 900 Church Street in Springfield, CO.

That’s why Southeast Colorado Hospital provides Southeast Colorado Hospital District “Senior Life Solutions” Behavioral Health Program for Older Adults, outpatient services designed to meet the unique needs of older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental challenges often associated with aging.
More than 20% of people over the age of 55 experience some type of mental health concern, yet more than half of those people receive no treatment. Studies show that over 50% of older adults believe it’s normal to get depressed as they age. It’s not! Feeling down every once in a while is a normal part of life, but if these feelings last weeks or months, you may be dealing with something more serious.

What is Southeast Colorado Hospital District “Senior Life Solutions” Behavioral Health Program for Older Adults?
helps older adults who are experiencing a mental health challenge develop the coping and communication skills they need to live a healthier and happier life. Our clinical team includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the mental health care of the older adults in the Baca County communities. We help ensure you get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment to significantly reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Our group therapy sessions are held up to three times a week at Southeast Colorado Hospital. Participants may have the option to attend these sessions virtually, using a computer, tablet or smartphone connected to the internet. We also set aside time for individual psychotherapy and check each on-site participant's vitals.
Services offered by Southeast Colorado Hospital’s / Southeast Colorado Hospital District “Senior Life Solutions” Behavioral Health Program for Older Adults include:

Even though this is a group setting, each person is addressed individually based on their unique needs. We continue to engage and support our participants after they complete the program.
Who Can Benefit from Southeast Colorado Hospital District “Senior Life Solutions” Behavioral Health Program for Older Adults ?
Our program is designed to help people typically 65 and older who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges, including suicidal thoughts and intense grief.
If you or someone you know has experienced any of the following, this hospital-based outpatient program might be right for you.

● Difficulty sleeping
● Feelings of sadness or grief lasting more than two weeks
● Feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness

Osteopathic Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment
What is Osteopathic treatment?
Osteopathic treatments are done by Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or “D.O.s”. They use hands on treatments to correct pain and imbalances of the musculoskeletal system. An Osteopathic physician will apply gentle pressure to manipulate the muscles, soft tissues and joints.
Who can benefit from osteopathic treatments?
Most of the patients seeking osteopathic treatments are those suffering from acute of chronic back pain issues. However, osteopathic treatments have been found to help a wide variety of musculoskeletal complaints and injuries. Pregnant women can also find relief with osteopathic treatment for the musculoskeletal pains related to pregnancy.
