Per Diem- Must be willing to be in the next C.N.A. class and become certified. Must be 16 years of age or older. Must obtain CPR within 1 month of hire. Ability to follow directions accurately. Must possess a sense of responsibility, dependability, and honesty. Good communication skills, self-motivation, and on-going commitment to professional development. Must possess the ability to interact and communicate positively with residents, family, public and other personnel of various ages, cultural backgrounds and respecting their diversity and psychosocial needs to provide appropriate and complete resident care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with other nursing staff and collaborating departments to provide the support for each individual resident. Responsible to distribute and collect personal laundry, bed linens, straighten rooms and make resident’s beds. Serves, collect food trays and record food intake. Responsible to fill water bottles and humidifiers. Provides hostess service in the dining room during Life Engagement activities and meals. Organizes and clean closets and drawers. Stock supplies, linens, towels and wash clothes. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Assist with room changes, moving furniture and personal belongings. Follows instructions closely and reports observations that include adverse changes in resident physical or mental functioning to Charge Nurse. Clean resident equipment per policy and procedure. Take out laundry/trash each shift. Delivers water pitchers to kitchen to be washed and return filled water pitchers to residents, placing them within residents reach. Makes bed according to bed side Care Plan as indicated for resident. I orient new employees to my position.
Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed. Regular attendance and punctuality. Performs other assigned duties.
