Payroll Clerk - Human Resource Department
Manages the operation of the bi-weekly payroll function ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Resolve problems that arise during each payroll. Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Records changes affecting net wages, for example exemptions, insurance coverage, garnishments and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records. Prepare and issue paychecks. Direct and monitor the accuracy of the State and Federal payroll reports, ensuring that all deadlines are met and provide statistical information to executive and department management. Track FMLA and personal leave time. Manages the insurance benefit enrollment and cancelations. Sends out COBRA letters in a timely manner. Assist with Open Enrollment. Creates requested reports as necessary.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications. Excellent client service and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment. Ability to maintain confidentially is mandatory. Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.
