He graduated from medical school in 2018 from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residencytraining in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Community South Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program in 2021. Dr. Smouse has been fully trained in performing colonoscopies.

He adds Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, Family Medicine expertise, and a patient centered health care philosophy to our SECHD medical community. Dr. Smouse has experience working with patients with multiple medical needs. He graduated from medical school in 2018 from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Community South Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program in 2021.

Biography:

He works to optimize patient outcomes and therapies taking into consideration a patient’s age, general health and other factors. His professional interests include full spectrum family medicine (without OB), preventative medicine, emergency medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy which is a “hands on” treatment to reduce pain. Dr. Smouse loves spending time with his wife and three children, weightlifting, working with his hands, gardening, and farming. Dr. Smouse grew up in a small town in Eastern Utah and is excited to live and work in Baca County.
