Southeast Colorado Rehabilitative Services treats
patients across the life span, from pediatric early
childhood intervention to geriatrics in long term
care and Alzheimer's. Services are provided by
licensed physical therapists, physical therapist
assistants, clinical certified competency speech
language pathologists.

The physical therapy staff is trained in manual
techniques including myofascial release,
neuromuscular therapy, proprioceptive
neuromuscular facilitation and joint mobilization.
The staff has undergone training in areas
including McKenzie technique of mechanical
diagnosis and treatment, and women's health.

The speech language therapy staff is trained in
all areas of communication disorders: dysphasia
(swallowing), rehabilitative/aphasia, articulation/
dysarthria, cognitive communication/dementia,
cleft palate, stuttering, early childhood language
disabilities and school age speech and language
disabilities. 

Rehabilitative services are provided for
outpatients, inpatients, home health patients
and long term care and Alzheimer's residents.
The department also provides satellite
outpatient services and long term care
coverage at the Walsh Healthcare Center,
Walsh, Colorado. Referrals are made
by local physicians, chiropractors and
specialists both in and out of state.
